Yep.  It's Chrissy Eve for Stawka's house too.

Adopted that practice when I married 43 year Christmas Day.

No racing from one to the other on Christmas Day.

2 Days of presents, works well.

Twin Grandaughters' birthday on Boxing Day - they get 3 days of presents!

Strange little gremlins have removed a whole sentence and a half from my post!!

It should read -

....when I married 43 years ago.  Christmas Eve works out well for

the Aussies in the family too.  No racing from one house to the other.

(and we have rollmops too)

Oh no, not rollmops. I was reminiscing with my sister a couple of years ago and was giving her a hard time about rollmops and she swore until she was blue in the face that she had never eaten them let alone liked them. Then a couple of days later she rang me and said that she had just bought a jar and had ate the lot. Then said maybe she kinda remembers eating them

I come from a dutch family as well but you can keep your rollmops, yuk.

Love christmas cakes and fruit cakes, why is it the younger ones don't like it. I used to go to a lot of trouble making them and fruit mince pies but I don't anymore, hubby and I left to eat it.

I'd kill to have some Olie Bollens, haven't had any since my grandmother passed away

Oh yes, I wouldn't mind some of them either.

Thanks, kas, they look easy-peasy.    Gunna give it a go

I'm a diabetic so I don't cook things I shouldn't be eating otherwise i'd eat too many
