He is a bit happier this morning as he has got 5 hours causual work, which hopefully will turn into fully time.

I could send him some of my genes if you like - he'll only have to walk past a cake shop then Smiley Very Happy.

How about heating up some BBQ chicken!

Has an x-ray been done to see if there is a blockage?

lol  jimmy,  wrong thread.

I would send him off to a doctor.  he may need something to relax him.  I mean he is seriously underweight.  He needs to eat good healthy nutritious food, not junk.  The thing is that being so skinny he would be looking unhealthy and that is not going to help with getting a job.  He just has to force himself to eat bit more, or eat small portions more often.

As someone else has said, try to dissuade him from the coffee and energy drinks.  They are possibly making the existing problems worse.

I received this message from him last night.

"I be out tonight, but I eaten and by my own choice"

He has also been offer 4 by 5 hour stiffs at work this week.

As nobody is game to say it - I will.

It sounds like your son is suffering from anorexia nervosa. It's not as prevalent in men but is affecting younger guys more so than in the past. Just like breast cancer, which affects thousands of men, people only focus on the female victims.

No he is not suffering from anorexia nervosa, he has been seen by a doctor, for an injury he has to his hand the doctor commented about his weight or lack of it.  If he losses any more he will be going back to the doctors again.  That the moment I am trying to get him to start eating three meals a day and not to lose any more weight.

I think you're going about it the right way. Good to know he isn't anorexic - he's fortunate he has a grandmother monitoring his weight. *fingers crossed* this is just a stage.
