Who says? like you with your your Cadbury's bikkies being made in Poland, I similarly like don't like my Lipton's Fruits of the Forest herbal tea infusion being made in Russia. So I don't buy it.
It's not JUST about funds going towards terrorism. You are speaking only for your self though... there are many anti-halal label objector out there and that is their main reason for objecting to halal certification. And you know what every one of your many anti-halal objectors particularly object to do you?

Aussies have no need for some black-robed priest  chanting ritual prayers over the poor beast while it collapses and dies slowly of blood-loss from it's cut throat. That's just barbaric and there's no place for it in a modern and progressive society.

You seem fixated on only one type of  food product/produce... What does a black robed priest (priest?? Muslim?) stand over vegemite jars and chant?

Now that should not be necessary, should it? Seeing vegemite contains no animal product. Yet it's halal certified. Why?

There are many types of food that have halal labels.

Aussies just want it stunned and and killed before it knows what hit it. No need for cruel archaic practices

Aussies also balk at supporting a religion that suppresses women and teaches intolerance against those that don't follow it.

Aussies don't really like their producers feeling pressured by religious groups into paying for certification that is not required by the majority of the population, either. Again speaking for yourself. The anti-halal label objectors are a minority. Which is ironic as they say why do they have to pander to a minority  ( 2% of the pop. who is Muslim) yet they expect the rest of Australia to pander to their request to end halal certification.

Because the rest of the population is not Muslim (by your own admission). And if the anti-halal objectors are such a minority, why do you feel the need to become so involved against them?

surely they don't want their petrol money used for the same purpose.

You do know this is just a tongue in cheek call by Martini.  To boycott petrol?   Of courseWoman Wink

She doesn't really expect anyone to. Ask ***super_nova***. Post 26
