Love the way all the attendants were dressed too, everything matching everything. 100% in kudos to you and them all, absolutely brilliant, and very Australian country which was the best.

Deb, I know how you must be feeling. My DD has bi-polar as well but so far, she has not strayed from her medication since she was admitted to the Alfred in one of the highest manic states they have seen. She was discharged after about 3 weeks then mucked her medication up and ended back in Monash for another 4 weeks. Since then (about 4 years ago), she has not missed taking her meds.
I was worried because they warned us that as they entered another manic state, they told themselves they didn't need the meds and quite often went off them. At that stage, our DD would not listen to us as that is what happened 4 years ago. Before she was in that state, I asked her to listen to us if we could see the signs and she agreed, but once she was there she wouldn't and hence, ended up in a bad state where she hated us and wouldn't see us for a long time. This broke my heart as we had always been very close.
I hope all works out for you and your DD - it's a long way to travel (3 hours) so I hope you can help her. Good Luck!
