It's funny when you see a cat that looks like a copy of your own, isn't it? Simone has a cat that's the spitting image of my sister's cat, Pookie. And I didn't think there was any other cat in the world that looked like that little squirt! LOL. I'll have to take a picture of her sometime and post it.

Yes, that's the one, Simone. Here's a picture of Pookie I found on my phone. It's kind of lousy but I think you can see the resemblance:

Arts, I think your sister and I are related, our 'children' look the same lol.

Boris - love your garden pic!

Did it start off as a blank canvas?

If so, how long has it taken you to get to that stage?

Thanks, it started off as grass up to our waists with an old chook pen up the back. We've been here for 26 years, so about 24yrs - with lots of changes over time, the Ironbark you can see was planted about 20 years ago - there wasn't a single tree in the yard. To get rid of the grass we used newspaper because I won't use poison - did it bit by bit till all the grass and weeds had gone.

A work of love and commitment obviously - thanks for sharing.

Would love to see more pics if you feel like posting them ..... I do recall one with a bathtub filled with plants.

Did you ever put the Gardens of Stone on your agenda to visit?

.

Di, It must be a different house I am thinking of.

Of course there are many of that style in Balwyn.

We were near the corner of Balwyn and Mont Albert rds.

I didn't arrive in Australia until 1971 and went to BPS in grade 3.

I remember having Mrs Smith, then Mr Edmonson and Mrs Bateman.

I think Mr Cowan was the principal.

Went past the school last month and boy has it improved. The church is still next door.

Still love the area with all the plane trees. Smiley Happy
