A question for all who care to answer.
You are visiting somewhere in Aus where quite a few Aboriginies live.
In a general conversation between 20 people at a BBQ, an Aboriginie says (on overhearing something you say)
"What would "you" whities know about that" or "Whites thinking they know better", both said in a put down, racist way.
Question
1. Would you be offended ?
2. Would you say anything back ?
3. If so, what would you say ?
I have another scenario but will do that later.
Oh dear! As mortally offended and outraged as I would be at such a heinous racial slur...I'd probably just move on.
After all...in my 60-odd years, I've been called far, far worse! But luckily, my thick skin has managed to keep me from too much harm over the years.
