Hello all. Sorry I haven't been in her for a while. You know how it is, you miss a couple of days and then there's several pages to read and you think I'll do that later when I have time, then another day goes by and you need even more time .......

Anyway ..... I've dcided not to try to read it all and just hop back in here. Hope everyone is well. What has happened to freddie?

Hi Lurker.  Good to see you around.

Freddie's okay according to Debra.

So what have you been doing? Golfing? Extension plans? Admiring the scenery in your beautiful part of the country?

I took a trip donkey years ago, down to Bermagui.  Did the boat ramp-rat  thingey for a couple of days.  Lots of day trips around. Watched the fairy penguins and seals eating/chasing our bait out at Montague Island.  Liked the little village of Tilba Tilba, "toured" Dalmeny.  Saw up close, the fairy penguins at Narooma.

Lovely area.

If I buy an expensive kettle it seems to last around a yr, if I buy a "cheapie" it seems to last 12 months .... I bought my last on on ebay, had it about 3 - 4 months, so far so good.

Well it now appears that we are not only building new steps to the side verandah, we are also going to re vamp all the garden that runs along the front verandah as well. New sleepers right along the front plus new steps to the front door as well.  Planning has been done, more timber has been ordered, let the building begin!

I bought a new kettle a couple of weeks ago, a stove top one, its so bluddy loud when it whistles I reckon the neighbours 3 doors down can probably hear it Smiley Indifferent

Bushie

**bleep** ?????     12 months ??

I get years out of mine.

I use a Sunbeam cheapy plastic, in 28 years have probably only had 4 kettles, (the 3rd one a few years ago didn't last long.

it must have been made on a Friday afternoon Smiley LOL) And I use my kettle a lot, far more than most.

$25 and that is IF you don't shop around. This is the current, "more stremalined" model and no damn cord to pull out !

I like the stove top ones, I had one for yrs until it died 😞  so I switched to using electric ones, I would prefer to go back to using a stove top one but LP gas is just to expensive to waste on boiling kettles.

Maybe I am just hard on kettles aps or maybe they just dont want to liv ein my house lol

We have LPG too bushie, I'm not sure it would cost much more than an electric kettle though. It certainly boils a lot quicker than electric. I didnt like the electric one taking up all the bench space.

You are prob right PD, I dont like "stuff" on my kitchens benches either but somehow it seems to "grow" on there

Water quality affects kettle longevity too I believe. We get the Sunbeams from Coles. Last about eight years with frequent tea-making.

Today is looking like a lovely day for a proper walk. Not hot not humid not rainy not windy.
