My day

After several hours during the week clearing and cleaning up a messy garden my day started like this before and after 002.JPG

Re: My day

Am now going down to take a shower - try to wake up.

Will expect the coffee on my desk on my return.

Given this wonder kettle keeps the water hot for 20 mins or so.

Re: My day

morning everyone Smiley Happy

I had a response from Freddie, she said that they are OK , just another hump in the road and she said thanks everyone for thinking of her.

so, I hope she gets herself back in here soon. I am so very relieved to have heard back from her

Re: My day

Morning Debra, thanks for letting know re Freddie, I ope she is back soon posting as well

Helen ... they sound like animal hoarders to me, keeping birds in cages is just darn cruel, especially when the cages are too small. I thought about breeding my girl at one time but decided against it, was worried where her pups might end up.

Made my own coffe aps, off outside to enjoy it 🙂

I'll buy you a coffee if and when we ever catch up in Hamilton

I think there is a coffee shop just up from the Sports shop near the roundabout !

Re: My day

Yep, that's a bulbil (sp?)  Cheeky little things.  Luv 'em.

I am having difficulty lifting my electric kettle due to the weight of it.  I am now boiling the mug of water in the microwave for my Moccona.  Just have to stand back for the chemical reaction if I don't stir the water before adding the coffee and sweetener.

Re: My day

Is that the weight of the kettle or the weight of the water or the handle the wrong shape ?

I use a Plastic Kettle of a certain style, always have done.

Re: My day

Now Aps, hope you were suitably recompensed for your haggling.

I suspect you felt so big and strong and manly when you were able to provide for your lady.  :smileyembarrassed:

That's something I didn't like being called when being introduced by a man to someone..... "this is my girlfriend".   I really like being introduced as "my lady".  More mature.  More Regal.  Anybody else have thoughts on this?

The plastic one was easier to lift.  But a new one "had to have style".

Well.....it was stylish.  And heavy.  And noisy.

So now it is looking stylish on the bench, next to the microwave.  Should I call that the "coffee station"?Smiley LOL

Memories are coming back to me of the simmering, then boiling, then whistling kettle on the stove-top in "the olden days".
