Ooops! Thanks for pointing out pigeon hole cupboards as depicted in pic joono. Thought was top part of a double front main door and the pigeon hole/cupboards-thought these were little windows.....
Still think it unacceptable work. I would definitely not be happy and would try to get money back/compensation/get botcher operater to pay to get done properly. My opinion.
This would bug me forever if I just left and did nothing.....even trying to get someone else to 'fix' would not completely cover up the original crime committed here

Well you would be amazed by what I learnt to live with Paints. The good news is that I finally got a lot of them fixed by the builder nearly ten years later.

Thanks for your replies. I have sent the builder the pic and mentioned that the 850mm piece wasn't even fitted straight (as if he didn't know). I advised that I will have to get it rectified before it can be painted.
Don't expect a reply. It cost me $200 (4 hours @$50) for the cornice to be cut . 10 hours labour to fit it and a poor job. Plus the cost of the cornice. Approx $800. With much frustration and stress to me.
