US terrorism verdict heaps $800m in damages on tottering Palestinian Authority

Washington: The latest in a series of court cases targeting Palestinian entities that might have thought themselves beyond US law, leaves the Palestinian Authority and the Palestine Liberation Organisation staring down the barrel of a $US655.5 million ($838.7 million) damages judgement.

The verdict by a Federal Court jury in New York comes on the heels of a judgement in September 2014 that the Arab Bank knowingly supported terrorism because funds transfers it made amounted to material support for Hamas, a designated terrorist group.  A further hearing, scheduled for May, will fix the bank's penalty, which some legal observers warn could be as much as $US1 billion.

"And so the Palestinian Authority and the PLO found themselves in the same Welch-Klinghoffer pincers grip as Monday's decision was delivered in New York. The Palestinian leadership was held responsible for six attacks between 2002 and 2004 in which 33 US and Israeli citizens died and 400 more were wounded."

how does this sound to everyone

if the Australian govt had a short term amnesty on I S supporters

allow them to leave Australia and return to their country and fight for the cause they believe in

on the proviso that they forfeit their Australian Citizenship and are not able to return

these people are never going to be happy here and forcing them to stay can only cause trouble .

thus giving the Muslim people who legitimately came here for a peaceful life a chance to do so

good idea but what about the ones whos mission is to stay here to cause havoc?

The trouble with that is that they "might" go to join isis but they really want to return to  a 1st world country. Also there is a lot of support for isis here from the wider community it's just that we don't know about it.

" The Religion of Peace" is not and has never been a peaceful religion, its very teachings are violent and backward.

Obama can't even mention them by name, they are just ratbags and if they could only just get then jobs everything will be OK. This  man is an enemy of the USA, a terrorist ignorer  and the awareness of this is growing about him every day.
