Coming from Cat fish, that is funny.

(Very sharp fin spine which in some species is toxic !)

To get back to the tuna - the news report I heard said it was an obscure foreign brand of canned tuna unlikely to be readily available here in Australia.

I took that to mean that the shop that were using the tuna had imported the can from overseas - but that was just my opinion, it wasn't actually stated.

From what I read the tuna is widely used in Australia by caterers such as cafes and restaurants but not avialable to the general public.

In other words you don't find it on the supermarket shelves.

The top end ones might, the others would buy in bulk from wholesalers
And that is probably not in supermarkets.

The brand was John Bull, not one I have ever bought or seen in shops.

No it's mainly available to caterers such as restaurants and cafes

It's not marketed through supermarkets.
