No, they don't get treated like that in every other committee hearing.

The bovver boys and their mates every sentence was designed to trash her reputation, both personally and professionally.

They would never do that to a man.  

They don't make jokes about a man speaking, ever.

They spent the entire hearing making jokes about the women speaking.

To some extent they speak over each other and laugh at each other.  They never attack in the manner they did with the Human Rights Commission.   They should have just done their job and taken the pat on the back that was given.
