Thanks Faye.  I didn't know what type of butterfly it was so thank you for providing the name.  I've never seen one before or since.

I can't claim credit for making the cakes.  My cousin's 14 year old daughter was in Paris when that attack happened some weeks ago and she needed something to occupy herself so she wouldn't stress too much.  They were the result and they were absolutely delicious.  They weren't just a cupcake, they had white chocolate in them, yum!!  They were just so pretty, I had to take a photo.

I wish I could claim credit for these but my son took them.

Simone, you know where some of you pictures should be distlayed?

Yours too Faye 🙂

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Nice photos everybody.

It's really nice to see all of the photos. Faye, since I live in So.California, I thought the snow in CT was so pretty. I think my appreciation for the snow led to taking pictures like the one in 1301. I love the way the snow sometimes sparkles, or lays lightly on the plants. Everyday looked different. I'm happy to be home though. The black ice was brutal. I have to have an MRI on my knee, as it isn't getting better. LOL.

Here is the whole plant. Sort of boring compared to one small section... I suppose.

TCM, mostly i only use portions of the pictures I take, I look for the most aesthetically pleasing parts and delete the rest by cropping the whole.

In every picture there is a good picture, all you have to do is look for it 🙂

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Simone, your son is shooting some great photos. I really like the one with the sunglasses.

Tcm, sorry to hear you knee isn't any better. Hopefully the MRI will help get it sorted out. The snow & ice is beautiful and ever changing, but the freezing cold that goes with it gets tiresome after a while.

Faye, I see that you too look for a good picture within a picture )

We dint get any snow and ice here except on the mountain overlooking our capital city and I don't care too much for the cold.

Although i should bite the bullet and venture up in the chilly region with well protected hoojahas 🙂

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

I did crop a bit at the top and bottom of that photo (used macro tube). Tried to photograph some ice crystals on the car windows this morning – and don't have one that I can find a “good” photo in, lol. I'll keep on trying.

Love to see some snow photos if you decide to venture into the cold.
