Well, I am sure that where you live now, once upon the time were gum trees and koalas and kangaroos, and other creatures.    As population grows and people want more houses, some areas will be built on, and that is no good news for the animals.  But most wildlife cannot live with us, those who adapt and are happy to live in our garden quickly become pests.  Best solution is to keep national parks for the wildlife, and not allow them to be logged, but once area is inhabited by humans, the wildlife numbers have to be controlled.  If they are not, the whole local population will become unsustainable.
