They used to use stale pee to wash clothes before soap was invented.

Watched The Amazing Race.  The Indian sub-continent still uses it

to bleach clothes

Was also used as a fixative and fabric softener  when dying wool and tweed (again, Google it if you don't believe me!) - in earlier times the  UK House of Lords was said to smell of urine because of members' wearing of heavy woollen suits.

I have heard that if you are lost in the bush and cant find water

you can drink your own pee once to survive

 

after that it is too concentrated

 

and also in the petrol tank if your running low just to get you a few more ks

I can remember they used to say if you rubbed urine on warts, they would disappear.
