LOL. Joe, I was saying to my daughter yesterday that the microchip should include a tracking device.

Do any oldtimers remember on CW when Mouse the blind cat went missing? If a sightless cat can find her way home then surely one who isn't blind can do the same.

Once my other brats go to bed, the cat enclosure is open so she has access to the house via the cat door from 6pm.

Hopefully she's just hiding and will come out when she feels safe ♥

Our sons cat has gone missing twice for around three days and then just turned back up on his own.  We do have a small river out the front of the house with a bridge a few hundred metres away. I do wonder if he crosses this and cant find his way back. I,m not really sure where he goes, but I know how upset you must be. I hope you are as lucky as us and he comes back in a day or two.

I clicked on that link showing all the missing pets. Woman Sad So sad!

Bluecat, if you think something (or somebody) may have spooked your cat and now she's hiding somewhere, she's most likely coming out late at night and hiding again as soon as the sun comes up. It may help if you were to put an article of your clothing outside or even an unwashed sheet or blanket. Anything that has your scent on it.  I know you said you leave the cat door open but if fear has ahold of your cat she may not even think to use it. Coming upon the scent of a familiar, beloved human may calm her down and help her to get her bearings.  Even if she's not scared at all but being a smartypants, it will at least remind her that she hasn't had a good meal in a while.

This tactic is especially helpful for cats who have never been outside before and, unlike yours, don't even know where their home is.

Good luck. I hope you find her soon.

Beautiful cat, hope shes alright and comes back soon. My only suggestion would be to put out some tuna, but you might have every cat in the neighborhood if you did that.

Fun Factor : Now you have a choice in chat, factor that

My Burmese used to go missing when younger; I was a familiar sight, running around neighborhood calling her, pasting posters, doing leaflet drops.  Thankfully, now aged 12 she does not do that anymore.

Once she was missing for 3 days, because she got locked into someone's shed.  They mowed their lawn on Saturday put the mower back and closed the door.  When they saw my leaflet asking if anybody had a shed/garage open Saturday and then locked it, they went to check and sure enough there she was.  The lady (in the next street) rang me and said that my cat just shot out from the shed and should be home soon.  🙂

Any news?

I guess it's likely someone has taken her in? because she is so pretty.
