Only on telly? Nooooooo. Mind you, I do cheat a bit: it's more of a faux dessert that looks like icecream.
One can of condensed milk
One small carton of unthickened cream (or use the 600ml one for more people if you need to)
Two small containers of anything you fancy! Fruche or yoghurt or custard etc
Start the cream beating with an electric beater (use the whisk)
Pour in the condensed milk while the cream is whisking
Add the Fruche or custard or yoghurt and let the whole lot get thick
You can also add some fruit sauce if you like.
I put the 'icecream' into silicone cupcake containers because it's so delicious and this makes it last longer.
Into the freezer then with clear kitchen wrap over it on a tray or put them into a freezer container. Makes about 16 - 18 depending on how much you put in the holders.
You can of course, just put it into a container and spoon it out with a hot spoon. Oh my, it is so nice.
I think they do advertise icecream makers etc, great they are too, but Mr. Tasfleur become very attached to this recipe, hence, I had to put it in cupcake holders to make it last: he's a true blue Australian about cake and icecream ! ...
