Forgot to mention - I got selected for Jury service.   Buggah!

Lucky you....not!!

I have not been called for Jury Duty since I was excused on the grounds of being a sole carer of 2 children under 5 with a husband in the Navy serving in Vietnam.

Said children are now 42 and 46.

Yeah, lucky you.

So far, this is my third time.  Why me?  Just cos I'm in the system?

Still,  $40 day won't go astray - it's the getting up at sparrow's phart

that will do me in

And I can't go anywhere for 3 months!  They might want me!!!!!

No.  Wasn't me.   Might have been Sandy.

I could always try my onesie to get out of it           LGM Onesie.jpg

I got called once, but like Lind, I was able to argue that I couldn't do it because of 3 small dependant children at home.  I don't think it would happen now that I live where I do.  We only have a little district court here, I'm pretty sure they don't have jury trials.  I happy to say I've never been inside this court house Woman Very Happy

Lurker, I did not have to argue very hard.  This was one of a list of acceptable reasons for getting an exemption.

I just had to fill in the form and have it witnessed by someone who knew me and could certify that it was correct.  Our family doctor was happy to do it.

As far as I know it is still an acceptable reason for getting an exemption.

Primary carer is still on the list.    Not necessarily small children these days.

Lots and lots of excuses for getting out of it.      But none for me

Still working on it.  I have 8 days left to fill in the form
