Oooops just re your post re the birthday party Sandy, looks like you have everything under control

Morning, Sandy, Bushie and others.

Thanks for the comments.  I have heightened senses as a result of panic/anxiety disorder.  Sometimes life is poetic sometimes not so. Along with my habit of reading, I use those senses to describe my surroundings and people - almost forensically some might say.

Oh and I must acknowledge the introduction to my life of this wonderful book when I was 6 years old.

Bushie......it's amazing how hardy are roses.  We could just say that they have been "heeled" for the past 6 months or so.

Of the photo in the two-tone challenge, I could almost smell them.   ***sniff   ***Mmmmmmmmmmm. Smiley Happy

Speaking of smells....b3 will have the opportunity soon (along with Lurker) of that wonderful scent of a freshly bathed baby.

Piccie a bit too big........However, I have named it Wisteria Cathedral and cathedrals are supposed to be big.

Good morning

DEB I agree re roses, tough as nails they are lol  I am now more into veggie growing/using the land more productively , so the main rose garden had to go.  I tend to prefer native shrubs, encourage more birds and bees/far less maintenance/pest probs/ less water required etc etc    Took this pic a cpl of days ago, all the roses are now moved so the bed  is ready for top soiling and Spring planting

That is beautiful Deb - sounds a bit like "Winchester Cathedral".

It would be a beautiful place for a wedding.

Love that pic DEB

Morning bushie.  Great work you are doing.  We have little caulis and cabbages at the moment plus onions, beetroot and broccoli.

I'm a bit over roses.  Beautiful flower but a lot of work to keep tidy.  In the main garden, we are gradually covering it with ground covers - maintenance free.

Morning Sandy 🙂

Nice lot of winter veggies you are growing, I agree re roses, lovely flowers BUT very high maintenance. I have transplanted quite a few to the front garden for now, will see how they go, it might be a temporary move.

Morning you two girls and others.

You don't mean gone gone, Bushie?  Only transplanted I hope.  I have experienced roses coping with dryness quite well and sometimes the actual watering  can lead to fungal problems.  And they do come back after periods of neglect.  Just a little aside for anyone - when cutting for the flowers, I semi-prune as I go and shorten the stems for the appropriate vase size later

Sandy, you will be like a machine today.  Don't forget to maintain the oil and other requirements that an engine needs - and not too much revving-up with the tyres screeching.
