She was between 2 and 4 years old, not a new baby, so I doubt if she was murdered because she was the "wrong sex". My guess would be  she died as a result of family  abuse.

This is not directed at you, she ele, but I do think that some could take the time to read the news before they post...

This is a very upsetting and baffling case, and a little more sensitivity could be used by some instead of weighing in.

There are real people involved, after all.

That's my guess also she-el.

Poor little thing. Hard to believe people do these things.
RIP Baby girl.

It's possible that the man the witnesses saw has nothing to do with it. If so, one can only hope he coes forward - though of course he may not even realise he is the one they are loking for.

The nearby town that the man was seen in is a tiny little outpost with perhaps ten dilapidated houses and as many residents. It is situated in the middle of an arid mallee scrub farming region on a reasonable sized, but isolated country highway that connects two population centres 150 km apart, so basically many kilometers from anywhere. Theres just nothing for out there. The man was also reported as seen walking several km. from the town. A neatly dressed gentleman carrying a suitcase out on that lonely road would be an unusual sight indeed. I,m not saying he must be connected with the child, but if he has heard media reports of the case he would know it was him police where looking for.  It is all very sad and just a bit strange.

Poor little mite, it's hard to imagine how anyone could do this and that no-one has noticed that a little girl went missing from somewhere. I hope they get a break-through in the case soon.

Which could be the same thing.

A lot of detail there, Azure.  Surely it will be recognised by someone.

Handmade, not retail, distinct fabrics and design, I certainly hope someone recognises it or it has a makers label and date.
