someone has loved her, but how can a child just disappear as if she never existed?

Someone has obviously not loved her.

Like poor little Kiesha Abrahams in Mt Druitt, who was killed by her own mother and also packed up in a suitcase and dumped in bushland nearby.

She was burned and buried. Not wrapped in a quilt made for her.

Yes but handmade by whom? You can buy handmade quilts in op-shops.

Some ethnic groups value boy children over girl children.

Has there been a report on what nationality the little girl was? If so I haven't seen it. I wouldn't assume that she was of ethnic origin , nor comment on that until there was any actual proof... To do so without having proof sounds a bit racist to me

It looks like a quilt made by a quilting group, given to children in shelters or hospitals.

“I would suggest, given the amount of work that goes into making one of those quilts, that someone loved that little girl and gave her that quilt,” Detective Supt Bray said.

“I would appeal to that person to come forward.”

He said because of the distinctive patterns and images, it was likely someone might remember seeing the quilt, possibly if they were visiting the girl’s parents or babysitting her.

“And if someone has either made it or purchased it second-hand and then given it to someone with a child, they would remember it,” he said. “Or even if they had purchased the material for someone and given it to them. They may remember the pumpkins or the musical notes pattern.”

If that's the case Az.. I hope someone recognises it
