Can I please ask why you find the picture so disturbing? Is the child really naked? How can you tell? All I see is a young child's bare upper torso. You can see one of those at any swimming area, sometimes at a park, sometimes even down the street.
Also, the Tattoo, you are so worried about it not a tattoo at all. If you care to take a closer look at the pic, you can clearly see the outline surrounding the picture which clearly indicates that it is a sticker, possibly a rub-on-sticker type.
I read a saying once, that said. ...... instead of trying to leave a better planet for our children, how about leaving better children for our planet!
I think this school is trying to embrace that!
I will definately watch the doco.

My uncomfortable feelings of the picture (Remember it was staged and had to have a parent's/custodian's signed approval).......
To me, it appears to be a bleak cold background, it appears that the blond "angelic" blue-tinged child (and I thought it was a girl - not that makes any difference I suppose) is trying to be strong (with hands on hips) but whose face depicts a "switching-off thoughts process" with having to undergo the manipulation for the camera shot because he/she mustn't show defiance.
And again for Arts sake.... why apply a "MUM" sticker tattoo depicting a real tattoo - the "MUM" tattoo that so-called tough guys used to show with pride on their shoulder.
It is the artistry and message conveyed to me of the photo that disturbs me.

The promotion for Gayby at Burwood Girls High School, was that it was filmed by a former student of the school.
My question was in regard to any other alumni of that School being in the circumstances of having been gaoled, would a documentary of the impact of their child have been given the same airing and promotion at that School?
At no time did I compare same sex parents with murder. And I find that comment insulting.

I think you have decided in your own self that it depicts a bikie gang tattoo. I dont see that. Yes, there are similiarities, but thats about it. .... I make no assumptions on what it represents.
I thought this was a boy, but we will just have to surmise on that one. It really makes no difference.
..just watched the trailer.... its a boy.
Also, the trailer was fantastic. I would recommend everyone to watch it... get the inside story on the missing voice... the childs!
