plant id please

Can anyone ID this it grows out of bricks in shady places and looks like some kind of little pansy, very tiny.

It is a Native Violet.

Grows wll everywhere, in sun or shade and selfseeds.

Makes a good filler in hanging baskets or bare spots in the garden.

Erica

Also known as an obnoxious weed

Australian native violets have round or heart shaped leaves.

That one looks like the leaves are 5 pointed ones

My guess is Kenilworth Ivy  -  ( Ivy Leaved Toadflax)

Kenilworth Ivy
Plant

Cymbalaria muralis, with common names ivy-leaved toadflax, Kenilworth ivy, coliseum ivy, Oxford ivy, mother of thousands, pennywort, wandering sailor, is a flowering plant native to Mediterranean Europe and widely naturalised elsewhere.

I'm leaning towards Ivy.

Be afraid, be very very afraid

Native violets.

Ok thanks,I  like it but have never figured out what it is. It is getting seed at the moment and so I want to work out how to grow some in pots . That looks like the right one in the photos . It seems to die off if we have hot days so its not  invasive  now I can google itSmiley Happy

Hopefully that "wall" isn't supporting anything as sooner or later it will collapse.

It is badly underscored and a lot of mortar is missing.

IMHO it needs to be repointed or demolished for safety reasons,(although repointing might not be possible).

Nah, just plant ivy - that might hold it all in place.Smiley LOL
