I know it's hot. I've just had a cockatoo drinking from the water dish at my left elbow, while I'm filling the birdbath to my immediate right.

There's none of the "You've got the watering can, it's a big thing, it's frightening", today.

The baby galahs are sitting on the fence while the adults are feeding on the ground, looking at me as if to say "You can try and coax us down onto the ground to get something to eat all you like, we're not listening to you, you're a Stranger".

I don't know with the adults if it's the need to feed or they've simply resigned themselves to trusting me, but they're a lot more relaxed with me around. I still have to let them know I'm coming, if I'm out of their line of sight - they don't like sudden surprises. The garden path isn't exactly a straight line, and add in the under/overgrowth. There's a point where I have to stop and announce myself so that there isn't a sudden flurry of ruffled feathers.

Smiley LOL

I swear and I curse and I shake my metaphorical fist at the Boolean search engine that powers online keyword searches but every so often the laws of chance and complete coincidence bring up a result that I had no idea was there. And even though I didn't ask for it, I'm happy that I found it.
