Oh, ecar..Im sorry he has gone, Im sorry for your loss.
You were in his life, and he was in yours- both lives made richer by the others presence.
For that, I think you can be glad...
Take all the time you need.![]()

Thank you, Youcan. ![]()
The easy familiarity of having been here, before, doesn't make it easier.
No matter how many times you've climbed a ladder, you still find yourself at that awkward moment where you can't see where your foot is, in relation to the rung, and you "feel the air, with your foot", as you seek the rung.
Experience does not provide the answer to all the questions, but it is a familiar framework, on which to climb.
Life is a little different, the routines have changed, and echoes of the past remain, but I am not pushing against the river, I am finding my way across it by feeling the stones, with my feet.

This is a game I like to play.
It's called "What doesn't belong - spot the anomaly".
Obviously, everything lying on the ground belongs there because it's lying on the ground.
But something, on the ground, even though it belongs there, by definition, doesn't necessarily belong there.
It's the anomaly that I'm looking for.
The beauty is that there is no right or wrong answer, the answer lies in my perception of what does, or does not belong, what is or is not there.
(Am I getting too Zen for you?). ![]()
A feather, an animal track or disturbed ground.
Maybe there's nothing to see, there, in those leaves, but maybe there is.
There is a story, waiting to be read, but in order to read it I have to see the book...

ecar, I'm so sorry that the old bird has died. I know exactly what you mean about 'presence' as it relates to that.
I'm also so glad he knew you too xxx
