There once was a weird reddish carrot,
Who really was strange and disparate,
He squawked all the day,
With nothing to say,
And make himself daft, like a parrot!
Now we have a new ginger kitten ..... 
Our lovely old moggy has been put to sleep with lymphoma which left him with a prognosis of 6 to 12 weeks unless he had chemotherapy and or radiotherapy but we couldn't do that to him at 12 years old especially given how far it had already spread.
So now we have "Wesley" from a wonderful no kill cat shelter in Tasmania, already microchipped, desexed and vaccinated .. it's sheer uproar, and our old Burmese is not amused or impressed with this bundle of energy (yet), but she's warming up to him.
He didn't have a name yet, so we decided that Wesley would suit him, after the character of Wesley Crusher on Star Trek!

So sorry about your poor old boy Tas. You did the right thing saving him from extended pain but so hard for you. all 
Anyway welcome to Wesley who will keep all of you on the go. A little ginger kitty terror, lol.
