I can completely understand when you say you want it to end soon.
I guess it boils down to quality of life, and right now she doesn't appear to have much quality at all.
Big big hugs to you during this very difficult time. You have been amazingly strong throughout the past couple of years Amy............be proud of that.

As someone else said it comes down to Quality of Life, not Quantity.

I'm so sad for you that your mum's initial improvements didn't continue ... I was so hopeful for your mum .... and for your whole family.
I can't imagine how you feel but I think if I were in your shoes I too would be wanting the end to come if it were my mum. I hope you never feel guilty for wanting your mum to peacefully drift away.
Remember your mum as she is in the pic in your opening post - that is such a wonderful and happy photo :-x ... your mum is in your heart even if she isn't on the other end of the phone when you are speaking to her.
I wish you all the best and just hope most of all that you can be happy again soon. I don't know if I am going to continue visiting the boards and therefore don't know when I might visit this thread again ... but (although we don't know each other) I do think of you and wonder how your mum is going :-x
Take care - I'll be thinking of you 🙂
