The last toaster I purchased was a long slot.  Allows you to toast cob shaped bread.

Half of Europe doesn't even know what a toaster, is. Impossible to buy one anywhere former Eastern block.

 

Donna, my latest toaster is a long and wide slot, so can toast pretty much anything in the bread department. It is fantastic. Never going to buy a standard size toaster again.
