Those two men still have not been found...............they are saying now it is most likely a recovery.
TGSE............do you find the support groups beneficial.......we keep being given information for hubby about them.................but have never bothered because we felt we were doing OK...............but I never gave it a thought that hubby may benefit from talking to others facing the same things.
Dark Mofo starts here tomorrow..............I love it..............it is rather popular.
Hopefully there are some things I can take some good pictures of.
Mr Elephant has pleural plaques - the result of asbestos exposure. It is not a life threatening condition but it does make him more than usually susceptible to resperatory tract infections. He tends to be a bit of a panic merchant, so when I found a brochure for the Impaired Lung Fuction Support Group in our local library I sent him along hoping that seeing poeple with really severe problems might help to put things into perspective for him. It did. Several of those in the group have only one functioning lung and one or two have to cart oxygen bottle around everywhere with them.
Having said that, they are really nice people and I think he enjoys the companionship. I don't think they sit around comparing notes, but, theydo look out for each other and have had some interesting speakers on various topics ranging from health issues to , self help and kegal matters. I don'r usually attend the meetings but I go to the social functions and I went along this month as they've had rather low attendances lately and needed to make up the numbers.
