I think I left out "Because it's the right thing to do".

As I step out the door, the currawong who's been waiting patiently for me to come outside jumps in front of me.
It stands about a foot away, and lowers the front of it's body.
The thought that occurred to me was it was like a dog - "Throw the ball! Throw the ball!".
So I threw it a piece of bread, which it pounced on, and flew away.
I had to laugh at that - "Throw the ball! Throw the ball!", okay, throw the bread, but same difference.

Good morning all xxx
It's been a long and fun week with a house full of quilters coming and going and if you have never heard 10 to 15 sewing machines going at the same time, well it's like a giant engine without the off switch ... not to mention all the chattering and laughter, but a lot of work was done over those two days.
Some also brought their thermo cookers and that was a sight to behold .. they made casseroles, desserts and all kinds of pastry type goodies, mostly without following the recipe books .. it was amazing to see them setting up for meals only an hour beforehand each time, it was like an assembly line, they certainly knew what they were doing.
We'll do it all again just before Christmas, now that will be so special, 39 ladies this time, all threatening to bring more next time around ....
... roll on Christmas!!

Back later, indeed, ha ha.
It sounds like you need a rest after all of that.
Talk about defining a flurry of activity.
I'm glad you had fun and it sounds like all of you had a wonderfully creative time.
🙂
If you've ever wondered about balance in the Universe, and what hangs on the other side of the scales from your incredible creativity, it's me - I managed to get through another day without doing what I intended to do, while managing to pass the time by not really getting anywhere with half a dozen projects that may never come to fruition.
Another day in the cheerful chaos, ha ha.
🙂
