great video Stawka that's why they are my fav bird they are amazingly smart and can be wonderful when tamed

i love them when we went around aus saw thousands heaps of stories and great memories they are real charactors

when we moved in here they were all around i was enjoying them but they follow the builders and have all moved to the new part being built Woman Sad

Speaking of crows... that crow....

Somebody down the street threw out a roast chicken.

A whole roast chicken.

It's either that, or the crow's been down to the local supermarket, ha ha.

He's out the front, by the street, having a wonderful feast, while two slightly smaller and younger looking crows are watching on.

They must be the little ones from last year, still a bit timid, ha ha.

Down the road, a way, there's a stand of tall gums, and as I passed I was treated to the sight and sound of Dad magpie, down that way, feeding his latest, out of the nest, brood.

There's no hope for us here, now, ha ha.

It's only a matter of time before we're treated to the sound of hungry baby magpies.

🙂

Off to fill the bird baths, with the Terrible Dread White Plastic Watering Can.

I've noticed that the cockatoos have no problems with drinking from the watering can spout if I pour the water for them.

They'd happily have me empty the entire thing, while they danced and gurgled under the water flow, but if I'm carrying it, oh, no, it's a Bad thing, they Don't like it.

Odd birds, cockatoos, ha ha.

One of these days I'm going to sit here, by the window, from about two in the afternoon, and count how many times that little girl magpie "very casually" walks past the window.

She's always looking for bugs or going "over there", she never stops in front of the window.

Which doesn't mean she doesn't slow down, at the right point, ha ha.

She takes being deliberately Not obvious to the point of it being distinctly obvious.

She's worked out that if I see her walking past, I'll get her something to eat.

I open the door and she runs over with that "Oh, is it that time, already? Lucky I was here!" expression.

Her other expression is "Are you going back inside? Do you have anything else for me?", ha ha.

She knows where she stands. 😉
