This thread needs to be a tad more interesting. I'll start ...

Did I tell you one of my friends has now retired and bought a house boat in France and another friend has retired and bought an apartment in a medieval village in Italy and spends half the year there?

I work full time and have 3 cats.

So now you have might have the opportunity to visit your friends in France and Italy at some time - nice. Would you be able to locate someone/some place that could safely look after your 3 cats?

A French houseboat... I imagine my more waggish, if not witty friends would be forever asking "Are you in Seine?", and thinking themselves terribly funny.

When you retire you will just have to buy a small place in France, one in Italy and One in Spain. Oh, and a yacht for the Greek Islands.
