I always had to think of three gifts for each of the girls for birthdays and Christmases....one from parents, one from grandparents and one from great-grandmother.

It was interesting to say the least of it. but did lead to some rather grand gifts at time.   One year my eldest wanted a camera so she ended up with a camera body, lenses, camera bag and other accessories all at once instead of having to wait for the next installment.

I feel very sorry for the Ex's new (well, it's been a few years now) victim/partner. She seems like a lovely woman who is too 'nice' to tell him where to go with his antics. Badly behaved men seem to up the ante as they get older. They don't have the energy to keep up the charming facade like they used to in their prime but there is always one out there who will put up with their **bleep** for various reasons.
