Ask Centrelink (or even your GP) for the CDHC that is in your district. It is a longer process, a ew back and forward trips, fittings, moulding, impressions etc, but it is free.
My friend (Health Care Pension) did it that way and then once she had the dentures and they had settled she went to a dental technician for the adjustments as the y are a lot quicker and often able to be done on the spot.
You do have to part pay for them if you use the health care/pension card,(it's about $135).
My OH had hers done here recently,(country Victoria).
It may be different in the major cities as they are generally done via the training establishments.
