We still have Pine Gap as a lever over America so it is not all one way David.

As for your remark about the Great Depression.....there is talk about another Depression. Unfortunately when America sneezes the rest of the world catches a cold.  Trump is going to have a larger impact on the rest of the world than any past President in history.  Pity he is so volatile.

One of his own Aids made the comment that we have to remember that Trump is not a politician or a diplomat and we have to make allowances for that.

He sure hit the nail on the head, but why should the rest of the worls have to make allowances?   It is hardly our fault that the Americans elected him.

Mmm Trump not a Politician nor a Diplomat..huh..Interesting..Oh hang on hes a Loudmouth, and a failed business man..He'll do.

Ps Almost cried listening to Sean Spicer repeatedly refer to Prime Minister Trumble...Ahahah

Introducing the Prime Minister of Australia : Mr Trumble

tTRUMBLE_1.jpg

It just shows the lack of respect that the whole Trump administration has for the rest of the world.   And Australia is supposed to be "friends" with the USA.   I am glad we are not "enemies".

I read an article where it was suggested that within 3 years the US will be at war with China....at this rate it will be with more countries than China. and a lot less than 3 years.

The White House can’t even get our Prime Minister’s name right

The meeting underscored the degree to which the architects of Mr. Trump’s economic strategy are now some of the people he denounced in his campaign, which ended with a commercial that described “a global power structure that is responsible for the economic decisions that have robbed our working class, stripped our country of its wealth and put that money into the pockets of a handful of large corporations.”
The advertisement flashed an image of the chief executive of Goldman Sachs, which has become a virtual feeder for top Trump administration officials. Steven Mnuchin, his nominee for Treasury secretary; Gary Cohn, the chairman of his national economic council; and Stephen K. Bannon, Mr. Trump’s chief strategist, all had worked at Goldman.
“The administration apparently plans to turn over financial regulation to Wall Street titan Goldman Sachs, and make it easier for them and other big banks like Wells Fargo to steal from their customers and destabilize the economy,” said Lisa Donner, the executive director of Americans for Financial Reform, an advocacy group that supports Dodd-Frank. “That betrays the promises Trump made to stand up to Wall Street.
