Milk Question

when i buy my milk in a 2ltr plastic bottle i remove the cap that has an anti-tamper device.

now recently they introduced another 'seal' on the opening you have to peal off to get the milk out.

why the extra seal i wonder?

Could be any number of reasons.

One would be, when the milk bottle falls over in your shopping, the bleedin' thing

bursts the lid off and milk goes everywhere.

Also,  sometimes you can unscrew the lid without breaking the plastic seal.

I've noticed they've been doing it with cream bottles for a while now

And could keep milk a little fresher, especially if it's vacuum sealed.
