You mean it is simple enough for a 3 year old to turn it off for you so you can go back to sleep?

Yes, or failing that, there's always duct taping the pieces in place, ha ha.

For some reason, we have 9 rolls of duct tape in this house in a long mostly forgotten drawer .... ![]()

I have long drawers, too.
They're very good to wear on chilly, chilly days.
Ha ha, I'm so funny, sometimes....

This is the old bloke who's been hanging around for the last few months.
I don't know if we'll ever be best mates, exactly, he's a bit shy of people.
When he first got here his beak had been clipped back, and I don't think that experience endeared him to people, ha ha.
Over time, his lower beak's overgrown, again, so he turns his head on the side in order to feed.
He's remarkably adaptable, though.
He's doing okay, all up.
Usually I won't see him until late in the afternoon, but today he's decided that it's warm and sunny, so he's come by for a visit..
And he only got a little bit upset by the camera.
I managed a couple of snaps before the feathers got really ruffled, so I'm happy, and he's not too unhappy, ha ha.

That old bird... Having stayed a couple of hours, he headed off to do whatever cockatoos do in the afternoons.
Regular as clockwork, just as it was shifting from light to dark, and there were only three other birds here (not too much competition for food, or attention, ha ha) he turned up again.
He has the mark of me, ha ha.
Come at the right time and there'll be food - then all he has to do is put on the pathetic old man bird act, and he's guaranteed sympathy and a feed, ha ha.
🙂
