What would I like for Mother's day?

It got me thinking, and seeing as the more formal thread is a fun thread, I thought I'd muse on the idea, here, instead.

An afternoon.

At one of those fancy lake side restaurants, where we could poke fun at the nouveau/nouvelle/plainly novel cuisine, ha ha.

And sit and talk, over a couple of bottles of something palatable.

Wait until the afternoon light turns yellow, then make our excuses - somewhere to be, something to do...

But before I left I'd tell her that I miss her.

We should make a habit of it, catching up, losing an afternoon.

I'd like that, for Mother's day.

Or any day.

I'm sure I could rearrange my schedule, ha ha.

🙂

Shelf etiquette, old man cockatoo style - I can't see below the line of the shelf, so if you're going to put something on the shelf, can you raise your hand to show me that you have something, then indicate where on the shelf you're going to put it.

That way there's no hand suddenly appearing from nowhere surprises.

He makes a good point, ha ha.

🙂

I stopped in at McDonalds on the way home.

I saw an attractive lady spank her kid after he threw his fries on the ground.

I made eye contact with her and then threw my fries on the ground.

No luck, worth a try, though, ha ha.

🙂

I'm surprised some interferring busybody didn't call the police.

For the record, I don't think a smack does any harm at all....I'm just glad my kids grew up before it was frowned upon for parents to chastise their children as they saw fit.

A smack was a last resort and did not happen often but was very effective when administered swiftly when necessary.

No luck, worth a try, though, ha ha.
