I named my first overlocker "Hannibal Lecter" because until I learned to use it properly, it cannibalised everything ....  Smiley Indifferent ...... Woman LOL

My first overlocker was an education in itself, but I got the hang of it, eventually.

I made myself a jacket.

A very handsome jacket.

A jacket that was, unfortunately, one centimetre too short in every dimension... ha ha.

The overlocker ended up sitting in the bottom of a cupboard until I gave it to a friend as a wedding present.

I went to the pre-wedding wedding reception/party and everybody said "Hey, you're the overlocker guy!".

I suppose you have to be known for something, ha ha.

Somewhere around I have remains of a hand sewn canvas duffel bag I made.

I needed a bag, a "backpack" of sorts, for work, something durable - I was working on a ship (an environment that can be particularly demanding), so some canvas scraps donated by one of the welders became "the bag".

It's knocked around for years in various capacities.

It's uglier than ugly itself, but it's everything I wanted.

Goooooooood evening all   xx

Hope everyone is keeping well and smiling?

It's been a long week already and it's only Tuesday, how does that happen?

The weekend will be interesting!  Big "Cook and Quilt" event in this neck of the woods;   people everywhere and all new designs and experimental recipes to be happening at the same time.

A couple of folks have abandoned their TMixs'  and graduated on to other brands and I'm going to be handing the TCook back (which was on permanent loan, but I'm not that impressed by it) to try out the high end machinery ...  Smiley Very Happy ... can't wait.   Watch this space, there will be fun reports about what went well and what didn't.

Last week, I was finally convinced I could easily convert back to a Mac computer.   For a long time I've been working with the Microsoft system but did start computing on the Mac yonks ago.   It's going to be quite a difference and retraining but I'm so pleased;   deep down, I've seriously missed the Mac.   It's all going to happen by Christmas (I think).

Have a great rest of the week everyone ....  Heart

It might be coincidence...

Takeaway's having her breakfast and one of the local boy racers drives down the street, with his "look at me" noisy exhaust.

She looks up as he goes past, and once he's gone, she snorts.

It's probably coincidence, either that or she's become a middle class suburban snob, ha ha.

Experimental cooking...

Duck à la Banana and tortoise vindaloo always come to mind, usually followed by an involuntary shudder, ha ha.

And how could I forget Kit e kat flambé?

Those heady days of bachelor life, cooking for myself, and often horrifying my friends in the process.

I am, to this day, surprised that none of us died, ha ha.

Hopefully your weekend will be more of a success (and less of a disaster, ha ha).
