Every year the rose flowers and when the flowers die off, it produces hips -

Yes, bright orange ones like this.

They're a fruit, with a hard skin and fleshy material and seeds inside, and being not only brightly coloured, but a fruit, they attract the attention of the currawongs...

I worked out why the currawongs only appear at a certain time of year.

It's to do with the olives...

The trees flower, then produce fruit - first, they're small and green then they slowly grow through purple to black, and finally into currawongs.

That would explain why, when the olives have turned black, there are so many currawongs in the tree, ha ha.

Isn't nature wonderful? Ha ha.

Today I choose to sit here, beside this post, on the ground, under this bush and sleep...

Because it is a sit here, beside this post, on the ground, under this bush and sleep kind of day.

I think he's the last of the old man cockatoos.

They've faded away, over the past few weeks.

They came in, they had a good time, and then they drifted away to be with their people.

Which is fair enough, if you think about it.
