Amy, I feel bad as I haven't posted on here since 2009, I didn't realise the thread was still going.

I've read enough to know things are not good with your Mum.

I have no words of advice for you, just want to say, I am so sorry that your Mum is in this condition - it must be so hard for the rest of your family and especially your Dad.

Please know, I've made a promise to myself that I will continue to pray for the situation - I don't what the answer is, but my prayer will be for peace and strength for you all, as this must have taken such a huge toll on everybody involved.  I have no idea how I would cope in this situation - my heart goes out to you.

piggy- if you knew my dad then you would understand why i cant tell him the real reason. It would break his heart.

My sister agrees that i shouldnt go back. Its not healthyy for me.
I think dad sees me as the strong one out of all of us. I dont think he realises that the only reason im the strong one is because i dont see Mum

On this day, 5 years ago, i rang my Mum, who was holidaying the the UK, to say Happy Birthday to her. It was night over there and i got her out of bed. I said "Happy Birthday Mum" and she reminded me that she was a day behind over there, so her birthday wasnt till the next day. I said "Oh well, Happy Birthday anyway." We talked for a few more minutes but Mum was sleepy so we said good bye. That was the last time i heard her voice. 8 days later she was hit by a van. I wish i had told her i loved her. I cant even remember what her voice sounds like anymore.

No. It's not comparable. Your life has been turned upside down for years. Not weeks. It's so sad to see our mothers be someone different to what we remember. :-x
