Wow, Tas, that Waratah is magnificent.   Well done.

Apparently it's week three of the ten weeks of Christmas...

I have that on the good authority of an email I received today, ha ha.

A murder in four acts... I've got the full set , now...

Dad, Mum and both boy and girl yearling crows have visited...

On the face of it, four large black birds can be hard to tell apart, but I'm learning to look for the subtle characteristics that set them apart... ha ha.

Dad crow's easy... He's a personality wrapped in a personality... preceded, wherever he goes, by a wall of personality that extends some sixty feet from himself... ha ha.

If I could write a paragraph about him, I could write four pages about him...ha ha.

He's definitely something, someone...

Mum crow prefers the "supermarket approach" - come in, smile, grab something to eat and head off, ha ha.

The boy crow... He likes to preen and show off his feathers, stretching his wings, looking very impressive -  "Look at  me I'm beautiful... Now agree with me...", ha ha. It's all meant in good humour...

He knows that he's a good looking young man, and the approval of his "contemporaries", in this case, me, doesn't do his young ego any harm, ha ha.

The little girl crow turned up yesterday, and got a little bit giggly-shy, ha ha, at our first meeting, ha ha.

So, she started the conversation, and we got talking about Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, and how much better the world would be if it were possible to find little red sparkly shoes and blue gingham dresses for crows.

Impracticality aside, she thought she'd feel so pretty wearing that, ha ha.

Did I say it was only their Dad that I could write a paragraph, or four pages, on? Ha ha.
