As a rule, when the rain's coming the cockatoos will let everyone for miles around know discuss it amongst themselves, then head off for the relative comfort of whichever tree it is that they roost in.

But of course there has to be an exception...

Word on the birdvine had already got here half an hour ahead of the storm, but they decided to stay put.

Reason 1 - Food.

Reason 2 - The very real possibility that there will be food.

Reason 3 - Do we need a reason 3? ha ha.

So they stuck it out through the early stages of the rain, then migrated to the relative cover and comfort of the pergola...

Also, as they see it, if they're closer to the house then they can argue that it's not as far for me to go to bring them food, ha ha.

Oh dear goodness - he's a bit choosy - to say nothing of weird.

Makes his own clothing - bet he wears Kaftans.

Wouldn't the lotion seep out the basket.

Robot wink

The last time I used "lotion" it had "sunscreen" written  on the bottle, ha ha.

I'd spent some years living at sea level, and moved here, some 500 metres higher, and discovered to my horror that I could get sunburnt standing by a window.

Or by being too close to a crucifix, but that's another story, ha ha.

Who writes these tickets anyway?

Blokes.

It's a subtle marketing ploy to increase the sales of socks - they give you the option... it puts the lotion in the basket or it gets the hose... ha ha.
