I could have written this - had I known there was a market.

I don't know exactly how bucket lists work...
People raise the subject and I make muttered excuses about needing to go to the bar... ha ha.
I don't consider myself to be a "beautiful person", and bucket lists are something I've always thought of as the preserve of the "beautiful" - for we ugly folk, buckets are simply practical items... ha ha.
This thought comes about on the heels on an email I received offering me discounted camouflage clothing...
Long story short, a quick Google revived in me a memory of a jacket that I had once thought I might want...
At this point I think it best to put notions of sartorial elegance aside... ha ha.
But it is, basically, practical, and would have, at the time, met the needs that I had.
Which is no excuse, really, as it would still look as though I had got dressed in the dark, ha ha.
Lots of pockets... Very convenient.... ha ha...
But you see what I mean about getting dressed in the dark... ha ha.
So yes, does something that I wanted "back then", and still feel a passing, occasional, fondness for (when I don't forget about it entirely, and have to have my memory jogged by a random email) qualify as a "bucket list" item?

You mean like changing a tap washer yourself, in Canberra (they might have updated the law, but the last time I checked you had to get a licenced plumber to do it...),
Hoo boy... I like to live dangerously, too... ha ha.

As a very rough rule of thumb it's possible to identify birds by the small, tufty yellow feathers that erupt on the tops of their heads, either side of their crests.
Or so I thought... ha ha.
There are now two lamington birds, not only very nearly identical in their, um, what should I call it? Lamington-ness? but they both have almost identical headwear...
So I'm calling them both "Old bird", and leaving it at that... ha ha.
They are growing their feathers back, though, which is a good thing...
It's gone three o'clock!
No... Look at the clock... What does it say?
One and something...
Which means that it's something after One, right?
Oh, okay... Three's after one!! It's gone three!!
I know, I know, I should have said to some degree when I said they'd learnt to tell the time... ha ha.
I keep forgetting that there's Eastern standard time, Daylight savings time and Whatever is convenient to the cockatoos time... ha ha

Of course, a wittier soul than myself would have retorted "What? Only half?", ha ha.
Sorry, I feel like I've let you down...:P

I don't know that it's actually illegal, but I'd love to take a walk through the food court at the local mall wearing one of these suits...
Maybe on a Saturday afternoon, during the school holidays...
Heh heh heh heh....
