Ah, yes, new gumboots.  I've used all my old ones.

The sleeping chamber in the possum houses were built with a mother possum and and a baby about half her size in mind.

And, as Zoo is discovering, she's not a baby anymore, ha ha.

She's been sleeping separately from her Mother, the last couple of days...

I think it also has a lot to do with her "need" for independence - she's at that age, ha ha.

I won't be too surprised if over the next week or two come breakfast time there's only one possum...

Zoo must be about six months old, and that's the age where they get the urge to head out and make a life for themselves...

Going by past experience sometimes they need a little bit of a nudge from Mum...

Someone whose name I conveniently forget took the better part of a month to "get the hint"...

They couldn't quite see why they couldn't sleep in one of the vacant houses... I mean, it's not like anyone's using it... ha ha.

It's like the teenager that "almost" leaves home - moving from their bedroom to the couch... Well, it's a start... ha ha.
