There was a bit of fun, come breakfast time...

Takeaway was having breakfast when Zoo emerged from the Brown house, and made her way over to her breakfast...

Zoo took about two bites, and decided that what she really needed to do today was to charge, full bore, at her Mum...

So she did...

Takeaway sat upright, and raised her paws...

Even from my "not on the bridge and not a possum" perspective it's still a pretty impressive sight...

Zoo stopped, then turned and scampered... not run, mind.. about two steps... ha ha.

It's okay, it's Mum, she's not going to chase me around the garden until I can barely draw breath...

Takeaway obligingly advanced about two paces, with a stern and serious expression on her face...

So Zoo ran to the end of the bridge then made a big show of poking her head over the edge...

I don't know how that would help, but Takeaway sat down with a mildly resigned sigh...

And waited for Zoo to decide whether or not she was going to climb down from there...

Zoo disappeared over the edge, Takeaway watched her, looking over the edge as she went, then walked the two or so paces further and began to eat Zoo's breakfast...

If you're going to upset my breakfast, then I'm going to eat yours... ha ha.

Zoo managed to get from the lattice into the tree, which doesn't require a huge effort, then leapt from the tree onto a perch rail...

The leap was easy, but as she discovered, the rail wasn't that comfortable a perch because it's designed with small birds, not small possums in mind.

Takeaway, meantime, had walked over to the bridge that she wanted to take, out into the garden.

She sat down for a moment, perhaps to gather her thoughts, perhaps to sniff the breeze...

She couldn't have possibly known that Zoo was sitting awkwardly and uncomfortably in a cramped position on a perch rail below her...

No, no... Not at all...  ha ha.

She can be a rotten old thing sometimes, ha ha.

Eventually she moved off, and Zoo twisted and turned to the point where I thought she'd become a corkscrew in her effort to extricate herself from her position...

She managed to free herself, climbed to the bridge above, and promptly climbed down the ramp to the big table...

Because that's where the breakfast you have when you haven't had the breakfast that you didn't have, is... ha ha.

She's going to miss this place...

Well, maybe not, but she'll always have memories of a choice of houses to sleep in, and breakfast seemingly everywhere... ha ha.

And her Mum, who loves her very much, in spite of her saying things like "It's so good to have breakfast on my own", and "It feels so good to be able to stretch out in the possum house...", and in the very next breath is looking around to make sure that Zoo's okay... ha ha.

🙂

Bit of rain here, today.

It came in for an hour or so early in the morning, and dumped what I could reasonably expect in a day... ha ha.

The crows took off for the day and didn't get back til quite late.

I could hear the boy crow in the distance, narrating his adventures - he's at that age where he's found his voice, so to speak, and he's so impressed by it that he wants to share it with everyone, ha ha.

I said as much to the cockatoo above my shoulder as I put the food out, and noticed out of the corner of my eye that Dad crow was sitting on the fence, chuckling quietly at that... ha ha.

Bits of the garden have shifted, again.

Not the right bits... ha  ha, not the bits I'd like to see shift...

If I'm ever going to get that vegie garden going it looks like I'll have to do the hard work...

And then it'll rain like it did this morning and the whole lot'll shift... ha ha.
