yep, anyone that enjoys xmas is NOT doing any of the work

I realised that when I was young and saw the sweat rolling off my Mum on Christmas Day. Oh the regrets. A few years ago my family took a vote and decided to forget tradition and do our own thing. We voted to order pizza, backed up by nibblies and a few drinks on the side. We even agreed to lower the temperature on the air conditioner just for the day, if need be. It's amazingly relaxing, enjoyable and takes care of your issue. I can't wait, I love pizza.

How about up to your fundament in snow?

yes, I meant it's a long hard slog preparing, cleaning before, cleaning after, cooking, having guests that don't leave....and all on a day that will probably be in the mid > high 30s.....am glad it's only once a year

I'm out of the hard Christmas slog.

I handed the reins over to my daughter a few years ago.

So now,  I just sit and get waited on.    I don't even clean up.

Just go back the next day for left overs   hahahahaha

I would usually spend Christmas Day with my mother but this year I can't drive to visit her and she doesn't drive, and other close members of the family will be interstate.  I don't mind Christmas alone but my mother is a bit upset.

Last year I spent Christmas in hospital and I certainly hope I can avoid doing that again!  Whether I bother to get out any decorations or not I haven't decided but I will probably buy a small pudding for one and something special for the main meal for the day. 🙂

I expect to be on the phone and internet for the day.

We all know my prowess in the kitchen.

I wouldn't want to risk it for Christmas.
