The old man cockatoo who turns up later in the day turned up later in the day...
Not so much five-ish as half past nine-ish... ha ha.
The first I knew that he was here was when little Miss Zoo the possum got a little too close for comfort...
I don't think she's ever seen a cockatoo up close, before so she decided to have a look... ha ha.
It's been a while since I've heard a cockatoo yell in the night... ha ha.
I went and checked and everyone's okay.
The biggest concern, now, will be whether or not the possums leave him anything for breakfast, ha ha.

Half past six, in the cold morning light, and there he is, bright as a button, on the tall arch next to the big table discussing who it is that should go down and make sure the big table's safe, with a younger bird...
Well, I know he's okay, in spite of his big adventure.
He might even be back in at a more reasonable time, this evening, ha ha.
There's another old man in, one of the day birds, who's got blood on his shoulder feathers.
I had a quick look at him, much to his amusement, ha ha.
"You look at this side, then you look at that side, then you look at this side, again..." ha ha.
He looks like a bit of a mess, but I think it's all looks, ha ha.
So, a trip to the vet is not on the agenda... ha ha.
He managed to get down from the platform he was on and do some recreational foraging under the big table, so I'll take it that he's okay, especially as a couple of hours later he was up on one of the top rails, sleeping in the sun....
He's spent most of the day sleeping, but that's been the pattern pretty much the whole time I've known him, so I think everything's pretty normal, ha ha.
It's been a busy day, or so, ha ha.
