This is a thread with no particular
Topic so no one can be off topic 🙂
So if anyone out there has something
To say about anything you like now
Is your chance
Keep it clean
And be nice
See how long that lasts
Can we keep politics and religion out
Of the conversation

In the afternoon the rain came...
The old man cockatoo found a perch and settled in to wait for it to pass...

The old bird was in again, today...
He caught me at breakfast...
He came walking over in a very businesslike manner, so I put the seed box down in front of him...
He clambered over it...
"I'm after the bread, over there...", he said, ha ha.
A little later on, having walked down the path, he decided to have a climb on the pile of rocks, at the end...
"I'm an explorer!", ha ha.
Of course, all that exertion could mean only one thing - nap time, ha ha.
He seems to be enjoying his time, here...

The old man bird headed off mid-late afternoon...
Later, the old man bird who is a fairly reliable regular turned up.
He usually makes an appearance later in the afternoon, coincidentally about the time that I'm putting out sunflower kernels for snacks.... ha ha.
There were two other old man birds as well, here this evening, and all three joined the flock in an enthusiastic game of "We know you cut that bread up to put out for us for breakfast, but would giving us a piece or two really hurt?".
And twenty minutes later there was no bread... ha ha.
Well, one or two bits...
I know they're no longer interested when I hand them a piece of bread, and they take it and then drop it.
They're not known for their subtlety... ha ha.
The baby currawong... I may have mentioned it before...
Our first encounter was when it was still quite young - stubby little wings, stubby little tail, stubby little beak...
Overall, stubby... ha ha.
And the voice... Oh, dear... the voice... the kind of sharp, annoying sound that only a parent can truly love.... or perhaps silence, momentarily, by stuffing food into that stubby beak... ha ha.
It's grown up, in as much as it's adult size...
It still makes that noise, though... ha ha.
