Ms Marriott has released a statement saying she "never intended for this issue to become public" and wants to wait for the internal investigation before taking any other action.

"I requested that a formal and confidential investigation into this incident be undertaken by the National Party to ensure there is accountability in relation to the incident I raise, and to prevent this type of inappropriate behaviour towards women in the future," she said.

Nationals MP Andrew Broad told the ABC's National Wrap he believed a Liberals MP had access to the sexual harassment complaint and Ms Marriot's identity was not leaked to the media by the National Party.

"I was aware that a Liberals MP had access to it [information about the complaint]," Mr Broad said, declining to name the individual who had access.

i stand by my comment the nationals are not very good at keeping things CONFIDENTIAL

So only 1 guy in the nationals wants to be leader and therefor deputy prime minister!

whover she is, until this week i bet 99% of people had no idea who the deputy leader of the nationals was.

looks like they are a party of bludgers, accepting the money whilst happy just to sit in the shadows.

Saw her being interviewed on Insiders, she sure as hell, wouldnt get my vote  ..... but then none of the Nats would, thankfully, they dont hold many seats here in Vic ( hope it stays that way )   ....  I know Joyce supports Live Trade Export and pretty sure he has no probs re fracing two of my pet hates

i hear those involved in it saying 'we take exceptional care of the animals from farm to delivery port/abotour.

but we keep seeing secretly filmed videos of animals in terrible conditions and dead on board these ships we would be led to believe are floating palaces.

if eveything is as good as they promote why not let the RSPCA have full acess to the ships from start to finish?
